Install Customer Supplied Post

Customer Supplied Posts (posts not sold by Mr. Mailbox) include post models for single, twin or triple mailboxes requiring excavating one hole.

New posts are installed in concrete footings. The mailbox will be set to satisfy USPS requirements (41″ to 45” above and 8″ to 10” back from the drivable surface of the road). See important note below regarding alternate location of post.

Standard charge includes; transport of materials to site, labor, cement, necessary hardware to complete installation and removal/disposal of old mailbox and/or post.

All installations are performed by highly trained and fully insured technicians.

Additional charges may apply if special handling is required, including

• Post assembly ($35)
• Setting post in asphalt or concrete sidewalk ($50)
• Use of jackhammer while digging hole ($50)
• Snow removal to access post location (plus $15)

Call for more details if requirements for post removal are beyond normal practices.

NOTE REGARDING ALTERNATE LOCATION OF POST

Post will be installed at a height and set back determined by the installer to satisfy USPS requirements while providing best protection from hazards. Customers wanting specific height or set back MUST provide details at order placement. We strongly suggest contacting USPS for approval in writing if varying from normal curbside placement. Customer will be responsible for any relocation expenses if requested placement does not comply with USPS requirements.
